1. Get plenty of rest when you can – both you and your partner will need it!

There's no denying that being a parent is a lot of work. You'll be up at all hours of the night caring for your new baby, and you'll probably be pretty exhausted during the day. That's why it's important to get as much rest as you can when you can. When your baby is sleeping, take the opportunity to catch some sleep too.

If possible, try to take turns with your partner so that each of you gets some uninterrupted sleep. And don't forget to ask for help from family and friends when you need it!

2. Breastfeeding can be tough in the beginning, but it's so worth it!
